Have been fishing since the around the age of 6. Started in the traditional way of catching small Roach and Dace on the whip and over the years the natural progression led to Carp fishing. I caught my first Carp at around the age of 13, all 4lb of it. Started 'proper' Carpin at around 17 and have never looked back since.

To me there is more to fishing than just catching fish and just being able to spend time sitting in the countryside watching the natural world go by with no other life pressures to worry about is, to me, something special on it's own.

I have two sons with my long suffering girlfirend/partner/significant other (!) and am now experiencing the joys of teaching them the art of the fine hobbie of fishing, in just the same traditional way I started.

I have been involved with Fatcarp since around 2002 and am now an Administrator of the forum along with a very good team. I am proud to be part of such a friendly forum and enjoy meeting/talking to members that share the same passion for this sport as I do.
